In the heart of our vibrant community lies the Upper Windermere Leisure Centre, a hub of activity and wellness for residents of all ages. As the seasons shift and outdoor pursuits beckon, it's crucial to revisit the guidelines that foster harmony and shared enjoyment of this cherished facility.
Whether you're a seasoned resident who knows the Leisure Centre like the back of your hand, or a newbie to Upper Windermere eager to explore its offerings, a refresh on the rules is always helpful in fostering a harmonious community environment. Here's a concise recap of the rules and courtesies when using the facility in general. These also answer a lot of our most frequently asked questions:
Guests: Every household can bring a MAXIMUM of 5 guests. Guests MUST be accompanied by the household at ALL TIMES. When the household residents leave the facility, their guests must accompany them. Residents are responsible for having guests comply to rules & courtesies of the facility at all times
Spring / Summer / Fall Schedule: Please check the schedule (released at the start of May) and abide by the scheduled activities.
Key Fobs: Residents receive only ONE key fob for access during regular hours, which must be available for random checks. They should carry a government-issued photo ID and may need to prove a child's age if unaccompanied. Residents must use their own fob for entry and not open the gate for anyone, as fob access can be revoked for various reasons. If someone needs help at the gate, contact staff or advise them to reach out to the facility manager.
Supervision: The facility, pool, and outdoor rink are unsupervised during certain hours, so use them at your own risk.
Children under 12: must always be with an adult.
Prohibited Substances: drugs, alcohol, smoking, and vaping are not allowed.
Music: may play during summer pool hours, chosen by staff.
Respectful behavior: and language towards others and staff are required; disrespect or abuse won't be tolerated.
Pets: are NOT allowed on premises.
Private bookings: are NOT allowed (i.e., team practices, birthday parties, events, etc.). Any residents hosting events will be asked to leave immediately and key fob access revoked.
Food & drink: are permitted on the premises, but residents must clean up after themselves. No glass containers are permitted.
Unclaimed belongings: will be placed in the lost and found & posted on the Upper Windermere Leisure Centre Facebook page. Any unclaimed items will be donated.
By upholding these guidelines, we uphold the spirit of community and mutual respect that defines Upper Windermere. Together, let's make every visit to the Upper Windermere Leisure Centre a testament to our shared commitment to wellness, camaraderie, and community spirit.
