Summer at Upper Windermere: Important Updates & Reminders



As we dive into the summer season, it’s the perfect time to make the most of our amazing facilities. To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, we’ve updated our facility rules and regulations. Please take a moment to review these important guidelines that are now posted around the facility.


General Facility Rules

  • Hours of Operation: 9:00AM - 9:00PM

  • Fob Key and Photo ID: Must be present with the resident at all times.

  • Children Under 12: Must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Substances: Drugs, alcohol, vaping, and smoking are not allowed on premises.

  • Guests: Each household may bring up to 5 guests. Guests must be accompanied by the resident at all times. Unaccompanied guests will be asked to leave.

  • Compliance: Guests and residents must comply with all rules and regulations of the facility. Non-compliance will result in suspension of the household fob key, with the resident taking full responsibility for any consequences.

  • No Glass: No glass bottles or products are permitted in the facility.

  • Behavior: Horseplay, fighting, and inappropriate language will not be tolerated.

  • Pets: No pets are allowed on the premises, except for guide dogs or dogs used to assist individuals with disabilities.

  • Lost & Found: Unclaimed belongings will be posted on the Windermere Leisure Centre Facebook Page for one week. Items not claimed will be discarded or donated.

  • Responsibility: We assume no responsibility for any personal items left at the facility.

  • Private Bookings: No private bookings (e.g., birthday events, team events, practices) are allowed. Failure to comply will result in removal from the facility and suspension of the fob key.

  • Respect: Disrespectful or abusive behavior and language towards other members or staff will result in immediate removal from the premises.



Rink Rules

  • Helmets: Must be worn at all times during shinny.

  • Schedules: Rink/court schedules will be enforced at all times.

  • No Slap Shots or Body Checking: Slap shots and body checking are not permitted. Any damages from deliberate slap shots may be billed to the household.

  • Rink Divider: Must not be moved during specific rink scheduled times.


Updated Pool Rules & Regulations

  • Hours of Operation: 9:00AM - 9:00PM

  • Pre-Pool Shower: All swimmers must take a shower using soap prior to entering the pool.

  • Children Under 6: Must be within arm's length of an adult at all times.

  • Children Under 12: Must have an adult present. Unsupervised children will be asked to leave the facility.

  • No Diving: Diving is not allowed.

  • Health Restrictions: Any person with diarrhea or a history of diarrhea over the previous 2 weeks must not use the pool. No person shall use the pool if instructed not to do so by a regional health authority or a physician.

  • Hygiene: No urinating, defecating, or otherwise polluting the pool. All patrons must wash their hands using soap after using the washroom and/or changing diapers.

  • Swimwear: Children, 35 months and under, and anyone who is or may be incontinent should wear protective, water-resistant swimwear.

  • No Glass: No glass allowed in the pool area.

  • Footwear: Street shoes must not be worn in wet traffic areas.

  • Substances: No alcohol, drugs, vaping, or smoking allowed.

  • Pets: No pets are allowed onto the pool premises, except for guide dogs or dogs used to assist individuals with disabilities.

  • Bather Load: Maximum bather load is 81 people. Once the load reaches 40, all large floaties and toys will be removed from the pool.

  • Risk: Enter the pool at your own risk.

  • Private Events: Private events (e.g., birthday parties, team events) are prohibited and will be asked to leave immediately.

  • Fob Key and ID: Must be present with the resident at all times.
