Summer Pool Safety: Important Reminders and Updated Rules for Residents

With summer getting into full swing, it's the perfect time to dive into our beautiful pool. To ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience, we have some essential reminders and updated guidelines to share. Please review the newest (and updated) Rules & Regulations, which are also posted throughout the facility. The main board at the pool will be up by next week!

Pool Safety Reminders:

Please keep in mind the following four items in regards to children utilizing the pool this summer:

1. Supervision for Young Children:

  • Children under 6 must always be within arm's length of an adult. If a lifeguard notices a child in the pool without a guardian present, the child will be removed from the pool until the guardian arrives. NO EXCEPTIONS.

2. Swim Test for Deep End Access:

  • Children under 12 must pass the swim test conducted by the lifeguards onsite before being allowed in the deep end. This test is conducted every time they enter the pool, even if they have passed it before.

3. Life Jacket Requirement:

  • Those who do not pass the swim test (children and adults) must wear a life jacket to swim in the deep end. Anyone refusing to wear a life jacket will be asked to leave the deep end.

4. Unsupervised Children:

  • Any child under 12 left at the pool unsupervised will be removed from the pool. If the adult/guardian cannot be found, EPS will be called.
